Excellent research needs scientists who navigate challenges without losing sight of their ideals.

What is this all about?

Becoming a scientist means setting out to solve the big puzzles of the universe and the challenges facing our society. This vision is exciting and motivating—but the reality of working in academia often shifts the focus away from it. My mission is to support and empower scientists on their journey through the academic landscape—helping them find the best paths, navigate hurdles, and overcome bottlenecks, without overexertion and without losing sight of why they started.

Fostering excellent research

Everyone talks about scientific excellence. What is rarely talked about is that real excellence depends on research integrity. And integrity is hard to maintain in an academic system that rewards paper counts over quality.
Good research needs time, transparency, and responsibility. How can we ensure that? My approach focuses on three core areas: strengthening individuals, building well-functioning teams, and supporting research through the right technology, as visualised in the figure below.

Academia is full of capable people who can do excellent work—if they get the right training and support. That’s where I come in.

My offer

Why take the journey with me?

I trained as a psychologist, mediator, and coach, and I know the academic landscape from the inside. I hold a PhD in brain imaging and spent years as a full-time STEM researcher, conducting highly interdisciplinary neuroscience research in Austria, the UK, and Germany. Because I have navigated the academic system myself, I understand both its challenges and its opportunities. I am passionate about science, people, and personal development, and I use this experience to support others on their own academic journey. Learn more about my background and motivation.
